Etlaq Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Etlaq uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember preferences, secure sessions, and run optional analytics only when permitted.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and SDK identifiers. These technologies help websites remember state, secure accounts, and understand usage.

2. Strictly Necessary Technologies

These are required to provide Etlaq and cannot be disabled through the cookie banner. They support authentication, guest sessions, billing flow continuity, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, language and theme behavior, CSRF protection, and cookie-consent storage.

3. Functional Preferences

We may store preferences such as language, direction, theme, cookie choice, build model choice, and interface settings. These preferences make the product usable across Arabic and English contexts and across returning sessions.

4. Optional Analytics

Analytics are optional. Where enabled in production, Etlaq uses tools such as PostHog and Google Analytics to understand page views, feature usage, performance, errors, and reliability. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymization and without Google signals or ad-personalization signals.

PostHog and Google Analytics are loaded only after analytics consent is granted through the cookie banner or privacy settings, where the consent system is active.

5. Payment and Third-Party Flows

Payment providers, such as Moyasar, may use their own cookies or security technologies during checkout, tokenization, fraud prevention, and payment verification. Those technologies are governed by the provider’s own policies and are necessary to complete payment transactions.

6. Managing Your Choice

  • You can accept analytics or choose essential-only from the cookie banner.
  • You can update your preference later from privacy settings when available.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but essential platform features may stop working.
  • If you clear browser storage, switch devices, or use another browser, you may need to set your preference again.

7. Retention

The cookie-consent record is normally kept for up to 12 months. Session and security cookies last only as long as needed for authentication and platform security. Analytics identifiers, where enabled, are retained according to the analytics provider settings and are limited to what is necessary for product reliability and improvement.
